Coffee...what comes to your mind first????

The cafe day quote? A lot can happen over coffee or make it happen or the addiction next to smoking? For most of us coffee is a hot, steamy, creamy, frothy, sugary, bitterly, a metabolic stimulating wake up call, but for me the aroma of a hot steaming coffee is nothing less than a tempting kiss on a rainy beach. It wakes up the inner soul from being zombie, starts up a conversation and makes it difficult to sleep after.

There are different kinds of coffee like cappuccino, mochacinno, frappacinno, al pacino, espresso, black coffee, latte etc many are even hard to pronounce, but a good coffee just wishes for a cup and a company. Coffee is a good conversation starter; can discuss anything over coffee, be it a formal one, or an intimate one-there is always a brewing.

Coffee belongs to the family rubiaceae, discovered in the thirteenth century where the word “coffee” entered English in 1958 via Dutch “Koffie”. Coffee was introduced to India from Yemen by Baba Budan to the Hills of Chikmagalur which later extended to southern India as well. The fruit berry is oval in shape, takes different shades in its life from green, yellow, crimson to black when dried. Seeds are then roasted; subjected to physical and chemical changes and different flavours are obtained based on the degree of roasting.

Surprisingly, there is another meaning of coffee and you know what i mean. Yes, coffee is always linked with sex and scientific evidence says that caffeine is a stimulant which indirectly affects the cells by increasing epinephrine/adrenaline in the adrenal glands, as well as norepinephrine/noradrenaline hormones, which in turn stimulates cell activity, pumping action and of course arouses the vital sexual organs. Thus the blood gushes and augments the sexual pleasure and performance. A study of sexual activity also claims that a cup of steaming coffee increases the sexual stimulus in women and the potency rate in men.

Be it a dusky dawn or a snowy evening, coffee finds it way everywhere. It is nothing less than an addiction, because it controls the stimulus and creates an irritation when it does not find its company. A cup of coffee a day is not so harmful even if it conquers your mid-day nap or mid-night sleep as long as dental hygiene is adhered, because coffee breath is not as breathtaking as the coffee itself. Since all sweet things are packed with a calorie tag, coffee being a less calorific beverage, has its calorimeter varies from 4 cal to 630 cal depending on the flavouring transformation heaped with caffeine content.

Everything has a restriction in its own way and we do not stop living or enjoying life just because of calorie cognisant. If you have not tasted your first cup of coffee yet, do that sin, take a break, smell the coffee, sip a bit, rejuvenate your memory, have a good day and brew it happen.
